We are delighted to announce that the Blustream PWR8VDC Smart Power 8 Port Managed Low Voltage PDU has been named an official Best of Show winner at CEDIA Expo 2026.
Designed specifically around the changing requirements of the modern residential AV rack, the PWR8VDC brings professional management, monitoring and control to the low-voltage devices that increasingly sit at the heart of today’s systems.
As AV technology has become smaller, smarter and more efficient, racks have become populated with control processors, streaming devices, network hardware, extenders, converters and accessories requiring an increasingly diverse mix of DC and USB power. The PWR8VDC replaces the collection of individual power supplies, and adapters traditionally used to power these devices with a single, intelligent 1U platform.
Eight independently configurable DC outputs support 5V, 9V, 12V, 18V and 24V devices, alongside eight managed USB-A connections. More importantly, the PWR8VDC turns low-voltage power into a fully managed part of the AV system, giving integrators the ability to monitor power, remotely reboot individual devices, create schedules and establish power sequencing.
Its integrated eight-channel Watchdog takes this a step further, monitoring connected network devices using configurable ICMP or TCP checks and automatically restarting equipment should it become unresponsive. This gives integrators the potential to identify and resolve common system issues remotely, and in some cases before the customer even knows there is a problem.
